Keana Ngaata is a qualified professional dancer with a Bachelor of Performing and Screen Arts in Contemporary Dance from Unitec. After graduating, she went on to spend three years as a core member of the internationally acclaimed Black Grace Dance Company, performing across New Zealand and on global stages, including the prestigious Joyce Theatre in New York. Keana brings a wealth of professional experience and artistry to her teaching. Known for her dynamic contemporary work and passion for collaboration, she encourages students to explore creativity, individuality, and expressive storytelling through movement. She also integrates acro and creative development into her classes, giving students both the technical foundations and the freedom to push boundaries. At Academy of Dance Taranaki, Keana is dedicated to nurturing confident, inspired young people who are not only strong dancers but also imaginative, resilient, and connected artists.
