Connie Yeh is a dynamic and internationally trained dance educator specialising in Hip Hop, choreography, and K-Pop, bringing a vibrant, current, and high-energy approach to dance training at Academy of Dance Taranaki.

Originally from Toronto, Canada, Connie has trained and taught across New Zealand, Canada, and Hong Kong, gaining a broad and culturally rich perspective on urban dance styles. She is a former member of Auckland’s Freshman Dance Academy and has also trained with Toronto’s renowned 2.0 Dance Company at Studio North, experiences that have strongly shaped her musicality, performance quality, and teaching style.

Connie’s classes are known for being engaging, inclusive, and confidence-building, with a strong emphasis on groove, musicality, performance presence, and clean execution. She has a natural ability to connect with dancers of all ages, creating an environment where students feel supported to take risks, express themselves, and grow both technically and artistically.

As AOD’s Hip Hop and K-Pop Instructor, Connie leads a range of recreational, open, and performance-based classes, as well as holiday workshops and special programmes. She is particularly passionate about making urban dance styles accessible and empowering, ensuring students build strong foundations while still experiencing the joy and energy that Hip Hop and K-Pop are known for.

Connie places high value on work ethic, teamwork, and self-belief, encouraging dancers to show up authentically and confidently in the studio while developing a strong sense of identity, resilience, and pride in their movement.
